Did you know...

 In many tropical countries, the majority of deforestation results from the actions of poor subsistence cultivators. The burning of rain forests, are second only to electrical generation as a worldwide carbon production engine. Amazingly this behavior even surpasses the carbon production of our global transportation systems.

The Rainforest Carbon Remove Society was founded to help in any way we can to change the above.

Our mission statement is...

Rainforest Carbon Remove Society with innovative funding, business, and land management solutions seeks to change the present world economic view of nature as having almost no value.  We strive to change this paradigm of confusion from “worthless” to “priceless” before it is too late.”

And we as a society we will uphold the following principles in our work in Belize

Proper stewardship of the Belizean natural and cultural resources;

Improvement of the quality of life of the local communities;

Sustainable Economic success, that can contribute to other programs of  local and national development.

With  donations, funding and grants we seek to transform the Utz Kab Farm in to a new vision of regenerative design. The farm was originally purchased by Looey Tremblay, Michael Saunders and the Dewhursts as a goodwill venture for the people of Belize and especially the local people of San Antonio. All revenue to date has been put back into the farm in the form of employment, local goods purchased and education This has also been complimented by in kind and cash donations from the owners.

Now, the owners has issued a cooperative agreement with the Rainforest Carbon Remove Society to allocate parts of the farm for their programs and projects. With this agreement and in cooperation with the Toledo Cocoa Growers Association, The Village of San Antonio, Green and Black’s of England, The Carbon Gold Program, friends and others we are planning to...

Create a carbon neutral housing unit for the working residents of the farm. Presently villagers live in environmentally unfriendly housing which utilize poor waste management and energy production methods.

Create a off-grid sustainable technology platform to sustain the farm activities and where economically and ecologically feasible be a power provider to the BEL electrical grid (Eg: Solar Power)

Create an agronomic system that develop various plant species to sustain the rain forest and improve farm economics

Explore Biochar and other new innovative carbon reduction and containment technologies

Introduce new farming equipment and technology to improve farm operational functionality and land management

Create an agro-tourism business that centers on knowledge and first hand experience of the rain forest plants for health, healing and well being

Create a Permaculture Training School at Utz Kab Farm to spread knowledge internationally and locally

Create seed programs and plant grafting programs to preserve and improve genetics
